Make sure when you hold the dog vertically you support its bottom or it will develop back problems, that’s with any dog though, just a heads up. And that my golden is stubborn and learns quickly and when it has things you want, it runs because it thinks it a game, so life is a game to them too.

Nala! What a cute name!
Golden retrievers are very quick to learn, and they should be taught obedience.
They are very intelligent and require an outlet so that they do not become destructive. As an outlet, they should do agility or flyball. (look up flyball if you don’t know what it is, ITS SO COOL!)

Golden’s love to please their masters start training early and you’ll be fine…most of the time your vet can recommend good trainers…good luck
